Did you try hitting the starter with something? Sometimes you can get it to turn over that way long enough to get it to a garage.

Yeah, expect that story to change in about 15-20 years. Same issue as the Crown Victoria LTD and the first-gen Crown Victoria (aero)
. That’s why I have long term plans to restore my car to police livery and equipment for auto shows once I’ve gotten a suitable replacement.

Or the first gen ‘80-’89 Town Car. Crazy how hard its getting to find parts for those. Could be that junkyards are just too high turnover these days.

That is correct. A lot of crown vics at my local pick and pull have been sent to the crushers after only a few months. Space is at a premium, it seems.
